Papa Dante's Restaurant & Event Center
Papa Dante's Restaurant was established in February of 1979, by Rose Marie, Joe and Lanny Dante. The premises consisted of a corner lot, with a mini strip center on it, a convenience store on one end, and two small rental spaces adjoined.
The family proceeded to expand the offerings of the store, increasing services and cleaning up the property. They built a small kitchen. They began selling; Spaghetti, Lasagna and a variety of Submarine sandwiches. Requests immediately starting coming in for them to provide seating space. Remodeling a space for a dining room, was undertaken.
In 1986, John Dante, Karen and baby Jennie, joined the family business. With the addition of family members, we were able to grow the business that much faster. In 1987, we undertook a $185,000 renovation that totally remodeled the property, adding 2,040 additional square feet of dining area, expanding and updating our kitchen space, as well.
Today, we're in the final design stages of building a 9,600 sf Event Center. The center will have a separate banquet room that can seat 360 to 400 guests. There will be a mezzanine level room that can accommodate another 100-120 guests. There will be a full banquet/event kitchen, and an ala carte kitchen which will prepare offerings such as; pizza, sandwiches, salads, burgers, appetizers and desserts.
When the event center is not booked, we will play Bocce Ball, on premium courts. We'll hold league play one night a week, and host Bocce tournaments. We will also host private Bocce Ball parties.
