September's luncheon topic is on Social Engineering (Cyber Crime) which is the art of extracting information from people by means of psychological manipulation. As such, hackers shifted strategies to exploit natural human inclinations to ultimately circumvent technical controls. FBI Intelligence Analyst Gregory Garza will highlight Social Engineering tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTP) actors use to persistently exploit people to unwittingly surrender personal information, passwords, system and network access, and even to grant physical access.
Guest Speaker FBI Agent Gregory Garza is currently an FBI Intelligence Analyst assigned to the San Antonio Division Cyber Squad. He also serves as the San Antonio Division’s Open Source/Social Media Exploitation resident, providing OSINT training and support to the FBI, local law enforcement, and DoD.
