About Us

The Army Residence Community is a Life Plan Community in San Antonio, Texas designed specifically for retired career military officers, spouses, widows, and widowers.

We are home to approximately 750 retired career military officers, spouses, widows, and widowers. Our Residents represent honorably served, retired officers from all branches of U.S. military service. There are over 150 planned activities each month, which include meaningful pursuits that promote wellness in mind, body, and spirit. Our dining venues range from casual to gourmet and residential options offer something for everyone. Resort-style amenities and the security of accredited and quality health services make the ARC an ideal Life Plan Community.

San Antonio is home to many military facilities, including Randolph Air Force Base, Fort Sam Houston and San Antonio Military Medical Center (SAMMC, formerly BAMC), with shopping, medical services, and other support. This military connection gives you another prime reason for considering the ARC when you seek an active retirement community.
