Tai ChiName: Tai ChiDate: June 22, 2017Time: 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM CDTEvent Description:
Tai chi is often described as "meditation in motion. Originated in China as a martial art, has value in treating or preventing many health problems. And you can get started even if you aren't in top shape or the best of health.
In this low-impact, slow-motion exercise, you go without pausing through a series of motions that are easy to follow. Our instructor will explain each movement and ensure that you are understanding and doing the movements correctly. As you move, you breathe deeply and naturally, focusing your attention — as in some kinds of meditation — on your bodily sensations. Tai Chi can also be done seating down for those who are unable to stand for extended period of time. You can gain muscle strength, balance and flexibility with taking this class. Studies has shown that those with illness like Parkinson has greatly benefited with taking Tai Chi.
